NABA USA Launches Showcase and Gap Year Program: Bridging Global Talent from Dublin to California

Dublin, Ireland / Sacramento, California — July 2025

The North Atlantic Basketball Academy (NABA), internationally acclaimed for its elite development of youth basketball talent, proudly expands its reach with the official launch of NABA USA and its highly anticipated Gap Year Program, in partnership with former NBA/CBA and European professional, Dan Mooney.

This expansion reinforces NABA’s commitment to developing the next generation of global athletes by offering top-tier athletic training, academic development, and a pathway to college and professional basketball.

Introducing the Gap Year Program in Dublin, Ireland

Young athletes now have the opportunity to join a full-time international basketball development program based in Dublin, designed to replicate the U.S. college experience while maintaining NCAA/NAIA eligibility.

Program Highlights

International competition over a 10–12-month season
Two daily training sessions with professional European coaches
Comprehensive strength and conditioning programming
Accredited prep school, with access to over 100 professional courses — all in English
Full game schedule and highlight video production to support college and pro recruitment
On-campus student housing in self-catered dormitories, mimicking U.S. college conditions
Global director based in Ireland supporting athlete recruitment and guidance

With over 150 players placed into U.S. colleges and more than 30 professionals produced, NABA continues to set the standard for international basketball success.

NABA SHOWCASE: Sacramento, California

As part of this U.S. expansion, NABA is heading to the heart of California for an exclusive player identification showcase hosted by Global Talent Scout Dan Mooney, an experienced professional with deep roots in American and European basketball.

Purpose:

To scout American post-grad athletes seeking a gap year abroad, exposure, and advanced development through the NABA model.
